Can I use SUPERSEAL Tile Subfloor over plank flooring or tongue and groove wood floors?
Yes, you can, providing you cover the surface with 3/8” plywood screwed and glued on 8” centres. Apply the SUPERSEAL as per instructions.
I need to install tile subfloor over an old floor that has floor joists of varying measurements on center. This being the space between the floor joists.

• 19.2″ OC with 3/4″ T&G

On my wood subfloor what kind of thinset should I use?
It is recommended to use a modified thinset. A modified thinset has a latex polymer added, so that it provides better bonding and movement capabilities. It does not need be an expensive brand, just suitable to your application base on the information on the bag of thinset.
Can I use fast-set thinset with the tile subfloor?
Fast-set products are used primarily on small areas that can be managed in a manner of 10 minutes or less. It is important that your are fully prepared with the product pre-cut and the layout marked on the substrate prior to mixing the fast-set product.
