Preparing the Wall

  • Dig / jackhammer a trench around the perimeter and install a drain pipe and sump pump. Ensure that your pump drains properly.

  • Fill the trench with quality drain store. Install SUPERSEAL Dimpled Membrane to the top of the wall. Fold it 6” to 12” onto the stone.

  • Fill in with concrete and let cure.

  • Frame your walls and install flooring as required.

SUPERSEAL Installation

  • Unroll the membrane at your marked grade height. Ideally the top of the wall or 3” to 6” above the exterior grade height. (where the dirt comes to on the wall.)

  • Keeping the membrane tight against the wall and using 1 ¼” concrete nails or concrete screws, install install a row of Small Plugs or Super Plugs at the top of the membrane.
    Space them approximately 5’ apart.

  • Overlap any vertical seams by 6” and install plugs along the seam.

  • Install a row of plugs at the bottom of the membrane just before you fold it onto the drain stone.

  • For rolls over 6’7”, install an additional row of plugs along the middle of the membrane.
